The amount of money transacted in an inter-family transfer is one of the most difficult financial and emotional issues that a family business will face. This transaction is often the largest in the life of the business and the family. What is the right amount of money? How much is too much? What is fair? How should it be structured so that the seniors are secure in retirement, yet the company is not overburdened with debt? We will explore these questions from a financial, emotional, family and business standpoint.

Meet the Speaker: Mario Vicari, Jr., Kreischer Miller

Mario Vicari, Jr. is a Director in the Audit and Accounting Group at Kreischer Miller where he leads the firm’s Family Business Practice. He is a CPA and Certified Valuation Analyst and has over 20 years of broad experience in providing accounting, auditing and advisory services to privately-held and family-owned entrepreneurial businesses and their owners.

Kreischer Miller has been a Family Business Learning Community Partner since 2003.

From Philadelphia and PA Turnpike: Take the Schuylkill Expressway (76W) to 476N (Blue Route/Plymouth Meeting) to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (276E). You will be going east towards New Jersey.

Take Exit 343 (Doylestown/Willow Grove) of the PA Turnpike. After the tollbooths bear to the right up the ramp to Rt. 611 north. At the second light (look for the Hess gas station on the left) make a left onto Blair Mill Road. Follow Blair Mill Road to the next traffic light (Witmer and Commerce Road). Make a right onto Witmer Road. Our office is located on the right - (pond in front of the building). Turn right into parking lot (see sign for 100 Witmer Rd.) We are on the third floor, Suite 350.

Coming south from Doylestown on Rt.611 - Easton Road: Turn right onto Blair Mill Road immediately before the Hess gas station. Follow Blair Mill Road to the next traffic light (Witmer and Commerce Road.) Make a right onto Witmer Road. Our office is located on the right – 100 Witmer Road (pond in front of the building). Turn right into the first driveway to parking lot. We are on the third floor, Suite 350.

Coming from Maple Glen West on Rt. 63 – Welsh Road: Turn left onto Blair Mill Road at traffic light (Lowe’s on corner). Turn left at the second traffic light (Witmer Road). Turn right into parking lot (see sign – 100 Witmer Road. Pond in front of white building) We are located on the third floor, Suite 350.

Coming from Willow Grove East on Rt. 63 - Welsh Road: Turn right onto Blair Mill Road (Lowe’s is on the right). Follow Blair Mill Road to the second traffic light (Witmer and Commerce Rd.) . Turn left onto Witmer Road. Our office is located on the right- 100 Witmer Road (pond in front of building). Turn right into first driveway to parking lot. We are on the third floor, Suite 350.

Coming from Lansdale East on Rt. 463 - Horsham Road: Turn right onto Dresher Road at traffic light (Giant Food Store on left). Follow Dresher Road to the third traffic light. Make a left turn onto Witmer Road at the light. As you approach the 2nd traffic light (Blair Mill Road) you will see our building on the left (pond in front of building). Turn left into parking lot (see sign – 100 Witmer Road.) We are located on the third floor, Suite 350.
