personality types which led to insightful discussion!

Brookfield, Wisconsin, illustrated the seven habits common to the
successful transition of family-owned companies.

Max Carey, Jr., author (The Superman Complex: Achieving
the Balance That Leads to True Success) and Founder/Chairman
of Corporate Resource Development in Atlanta, Georgia, presented
"Five Manageable Marketing Truths" that can help business families
create a more stable marketing future, regardless of outside disturbances.

Consultant, writer (Leap of Faith), teacher and poet, Walter
Sutton, President of W. G. Sutton International, Ltd., in Seattle,
Washington, presented "The Secret: Tools and Choices for the Leaders
of Today and Tomorrow." Drawing from more than 8,000 interviews
he has conducted since 1996 with successful (and happy!) business
executives, Walter Sutton shared a collection of tools to empower
executives in both their work and their life.

Author and leading family business expert, Susan Scott of
Fierce Conversations, Inc., in Seattle, Washington, presented "Beyond
Shouting, Sarcasm & Silence: Transforming Your Work & Family - One
Conversation at a Time." Over 160 attendees were challenged by a
dynamic morning of interactive learning to engage in "fierce conversations"
as leaders, family members and colleagues.
